Teodor White Réserve - Simcic ®

Characteristics and description:
Intensely rich golden-yellow colour. An elegant fruity wine with a fragrant hint of dried flowers, buttered toast, combined with a slight note of vanilla. This sort, based on Ribolla Gialla (as the most traditional Collio grape variety), is the best indicator of the regional terroir.

In the mouth it is quite elegant, rich and creamy, because it is aged in the various types of barrels that best suit each individual grape variety. Leaving the wine on the lees, gives this very minerally wine its character. A long, warm, pleasantly bitter aftertaste is characteristic of a good rebula.

We recommend it with vegetable dishes, especially those made with poultry or small game; excellent with fish, scampi; risotto or pasta with truffles and medium-aged cheese.

Awards:
Bronze Medal – Teodor White Reserve 2002, Decanter World Wine Competition, 2006 London – Great Britain

Dark velvety red colour, still solid and young. The mature and warm bouquet is a combination of several different aromas - that of dark berries, jams, tobacco and fresh leather. Its first impression is sweet. The taste is rich, spiced and fruity: of dark berries and plums. It has a strong structure and noticeable freshness. At the end the taste is of dark chocolate, spices and leather. It develops and fades slowly. Very good now, but it can be aged at least 5-10 years.
